Farmer John CSA is a certified nonprofit 501(c)3 children's education farm located at 1541 Lower State Road in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Founded by John and Gail Palovchak, the farm has been working this Doylestown Township land since 1939 and has built a warm, community-centered reputation for naturally grown, fresh-harvested produce and a heartfelt commitment to educating the next generation of farmers. The farm practices naturally grown organic farming using organic compost, crop rotation, companion planting, and no synthetic chemicals, petroleum-based fertilizers, antibiotics, or artificial hormones. All seeds are non-GMO. What makes Farmer John's CSA especially unique is its "Self Select" option, which allows members to choose exactly which items they want from their share each week — whether herbs, flowers, fruits, vegetables, or eggs as long as sufficient harvest time is available. Shares are harvested within hours, and often minutes, before members arrive, ensuring the absolute freshest produce possible.
