Bloomfield-Montclair CSA is a community-supported agriculture program serving Montclair, Bloomfield, Cedar Grove, and surrounding communities in northern New Jersey. The organization connects local households with sustainably grown food from regional farms through seasonal farm-share memberships. Operating for more than 25 years, Bloomfield-Montclair CSA partners with Circle Brook Farm to provide members with freshly harvested organic vegetables and herbs. Its 24-week vegetable share program runs from early June through November, offering a diverse selection of seasonal produce, including lettuce, beets, spinach, Swiss chard, sweet potatoes, squash, cauliflower, fennel, and other vegetables. Members can choose from full premium, split, and prebagged medium vegetable shares. Optional add-ons include seasonal fruits from Tree-licious Orchards, pasture-raised eggs, specialty mushrooms, and fresh-cut flowers from partner farms and growers. Weekly pickups take place every Tuesday at designated locations in Montclair and Cedar Grove. Members collect their fresh produce directly from the distribution sites, helping build connections between farmers, consumers, and the local community. Bloomfield-Montclair CSA emphasizes organic agriculture, seasonal eating, reduced reliance on conventional distribution chains, and direct financial support for farmers. Through its membership-based model, the organization helps make locally produced food accessible to families throughout the growing season.
