Yetter Farm is a historic family farm located in the village of Maitland, Mifflin County, PA, owned and operated by Jarod Armstrong. The farm's roots go back to 1893, when Irvin and Margareta Yetter purchased 230 acres of land. After passing through several owners, Jarod's grandparents brought it back into the family in 1973, and Jarod now stewards the approximately 100-acre property, naming it Yetter Farm to honor that long family legacy. The farm employs rotational grazing methods, ensuring animals always have access to fresh grass or hay, clean water, and sunlight. Pasture-raised beef is the primary product, with cows raised on a diet of grass and clover supplemented by locally sourced grain and minerals. The farm also raises pasture-raised chicken and lamb. Jarod, a high school agriculture teacher by background, is passionate about sustainable farming practices and educating customers about where their food comes from.
