Why Not Farm is a four-generation family operation nestled in the hills of Chester County, Glenmoore, Pennsylvania, with roots going back 70 years as a dairy farm. In 1999, owners Ray and Mary transitioned the operation to beef cattle after falling in love with Texas Longhorn cattle sourced from a Virginia ranch. Over time, they expanded their herd to include Scottish Highland, Hereford, and Angus breeds. All cattle are grass-fed, free range, and raised without hormones or antibiotics, allowing them to grow naturally for a healthier and better-tasting beef. The farm's products — including steaks, roasts, brisket, chip steak, ground beef, patties, short ribs, beef jerky, and beef sticks — are available directly from the on-site farm store, open daily from 8am to 8pm. Why Not Farm also partners with Revival Pizza Pub, The Railroad Bar and Grille, and Hougar's Farm Store, where select cuts and products can be found locally.
