Northern Star Farm is a fully preserved, 230-acre family farm located at 112 East Third Avenue (Route 113) in Trappe, PA. In the Wismer family since 1927, the farm represents 18% of Trappe Borough's total land mass and has been permanently preserved through the Montgomery County Agricultural Land Preservation Program. Today, Matthew Wismer and his daughters Ashley and Erin carry on five generations of farming tradition. The farm remains an active working operation, growing corn, hay, and soybeans, while also serving as a beloved community destination. A weekly Farmer's Market runs every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM, from the first Saturday in May through the last Saturday in October, featuring fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meats, and eggs. Northern Star Farm is best known for its annual Fall Festival, held on weekends from late September through the end of October (Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM–5 PM), featuring hayrides, a corn maze, pony rides, u-pick sunflowers, a pumpkin patch, and cider donuts. The farm also offers school and nursery tours, private birthday parties, and community events throughout the year.
