Wholesome Food Farm is a third-generation, family-owned farm located in Alburtis, PA, in beautiful southeastern Berks County, owned and operated by Bill and Pam Moseley. The farm's mission is simple: to create a healthy farm environment that produces healthy, happy, and contented animals, providing customers with a superior quality product. The farm raises 100% grass-fed Black Angus beef cattle that roam freely in lush pastures made up of clover, timothy, and orchard grass — never confined to a feedlot. During winter months, cattle are fed haylage and dry hay organically grown at a nearby farm. Cattle are never fed corn or any type of grain, and no growth hormones, antibiotics, or vaccinations of any kind are used. The same commitment to natural, open-air living extends to the farm's chickens, sheep, and alpacas, all of which have access to fresh air, sunshine, and clean pastures. The farm's approach involves constant animal and soil management, keeping the Moseley family involved in every aspect of the animal's production life cycle. Grass-fed beef is available for direct purchase including bulk beef orders, along with pastured pork, chicken, and eggs. The farm store also features items from other local farms and producers including raw milk, aged and artisan cheeses, yogurt, kefir, organic fermented products, and locally crafted pantry items. The farm store is open Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Visit wholesomefoodfarm.com to shop or learn more.
