Chicano Sol Farm is a first-generation certified organic family farm run by Agustin and Jarrah Salazar Cernas, located in rural Perry County, PA, just outside the town of Blain. Founded in 2010, the farm started with 7 acres and has expanded over the years with 9 greenhouses operating year-round, plus additional outdoor acreage farmed seasonally. The farm grows a wide variety of certified organic produce including tomatoes, peppers, greens, herbs, strawberries, sweet potatoes, squash, and much more. Chicano Sol strives to produce high-quality, nutrient-dense foods while maintaining the land in a fertile state for future generations. Consumers can purchase produce through their CSA share program (running 26 weeks, June–November), at farm market stands in the Washington DC area, or through their local cooperative. The farm is also GAP Certified and USDA Organic certified.
